HAUL! Topshop, H&M, Zara & River Island

Hey girls,
So as I will be flying off to Ibiza in less than 2 weeks I've been doing a bit of holiday shopping and I thought I would share what I have been buying if any of you are looking for any ideas for some holiday outfits :)

First thing I got was from H&M and its this bright red/orange (looks more orange in person) skater skirt, this looks beautiful on as it is highwaisted so pulls you in at the waist and is nice and floaty around the thighs. For on holiday I would wear this with a black bodysuit or crop top and a pair of sandles. I would also wear this same outfit on a night out here but with a pair of heels!

 £12.99 from H&M

Next thing I got also from H&M is probably my favourite buy! It's this beautiful crochet dress, I bought this dress for during the day on holiday to wear over my bikinis when I'm out and about and just for lounging about in. If your brave enough you could even wear it out at night! The pattern on it is beautiful and I think this will look amazing with a tan.

 £14.99 from H&M

The next thing I got was these denim shorts from zara. I got these as I only ever buy high waisted denim shorts and thought these would be a bit more flattering around the bum and thigh area which they are as they fit me perfectly. I would wear these both during the day and at night they pretty much go with everything.

  £19.99 from Zara

Another favourite from my shopping trip is these high waisted electric blue shorts, they may not look it but they are so flattering, I thought they would be like the disco shorts which suck your thighs in and in doing so pushing all the fat out the bottom (not a pretty look) but these sit perfectly and do no sucking or pushing! I also love the bright colour, so perfect for on holiday. I would wear these shorts with a white flowy crop top or just a plain white vest with heels or sandles.

  £25 from Topshop

My last purchase was a bargain, I got this bikini top in the River Island sale for a tenner! I love the rose gold detailing on this bikini and the mismatched stripe pattern is so pretty and different!

  £10 from River Island

Hope this gave you some holiday or even just summer outfit ideas!

FOTD

Hey girls,
So after posting my Vichy Dermablend review I had to jump to the shops and as I was finishing off the rest of my make up I thought I'd post a quick Face Of The Day. This may be very boring to most but this will just show you my day to day make-up when I'm not doing much and the products I use :)

First I set my foundation with Rimmel Stay Matte setting powder using a large powder brush I press this over my foundation to keep everything in place. I then use an angled contour brush and the Contour colour in the Sleek Contour Kit to define my cheekbones (or lack of) once I have done this I go back to my large powder brush to blend the contour so there are no harsh lines.

Then just using the same brush I used for contour I apply blusher to the apple of my cheeks brushing slightly up my cheek bone to lift my face. I then once again blend using my powder brush to bring everything together.

I then curl my lashes (if I can be bothered that day) and apply a couple coats of mascara. Lastly using a small angled brush I mix the black and brown shade below the blackin the HD Brow Palette to fill in my brows.

And here is the finished look! A very simple natural look for going about my daily business. What make up to you like for day to day life?

Vichy Dermablend Foundation

Hi girls,
Before I get into this review I'll start by giving you a bit of background on my skin. I have pretty problematic skin, once a month I get a severe outbreak of spots mostly around my jaw area (thank you hormones!) and on the forehead. The rest of the month I get a spot here and there but nothing major. My biggest problem is scarring, when my skin was really bad I'd have multiple clusters of spots and whiteheads(yuck I know) on my forehead and chin and out of frustration I would pick and poke at them which has now left me with lots of red marks. I find that even when my skin is clear these red marks still make me look spotty which is why I rarely ever go anywhere without a bit of foundation or concealer, I am getting braver though!

So onto the review,
Vichy Dermablend is a highly pigmented foundation that is aimed at problem skin which is what attracted me to it, that and watching Lisa Eldridge's video on Acne/Blemish Covering Make-up.
At £15.50 for 35ml of product this is a bit on the pricey side, a bit more than high street brands but still a lot less than your high end brands and personally I think it is completely worth the price! I have been using this foundation for a long time now and love it!! It completely covers all my sins and more impressively it removes my need for concealer which is great as one less step means that tiny bit longer in bed in the morning :)
When my skin is at its best I need one light layer of this and when I say light I mean it, you need a tiny bit of product as it is so highly pigmented a little definitely goes a long way with this foundation, so even though it is on the more expensive side you will definitely get your moneys worth out of this foundation. I apply the majority of the product to the centre of my face and blend out, adding a little extra to my jaw line as this is often a problem area for me. To apply I use my Real Techniques Buffing brush. Once I have given that time to settle into my skin I take the tiniest amount and go back in and spot conceal anything that needs a bit more coverage. A bit of powder and I'm ready to go!
Whenever my skin is acting up I usually apply one light layer, let it settle and then go back and add a second light layer concentrating on the problem areas, once again a bit of powder and I'm all set to move on to the rest of my make-up steps.

(Wearing just the foundation in the colour nude 25, mascarra and my eyebrows have been filled in)

After over 2 months of using this foundation I can safely say it has not once broke me out or caused any irritation, it has a spf of 15 which is another plus for the summer months and I have not noticed any white cast in pictures normally associated with products with spf in them.

There are only 2 downsides to this foundation, the first is there is not a large range of colours so finding one to match perfectly may be a problem however buying 2 and mixing is always a good solution to that problem, the second is the smell, it has a pretty strong smell but this is only when applying it so don't let that put you off!

So as you can see I love this product and would highly recommend it to anyone with problem skin or anyone who prefers a full coverage foundation! Can be bought at any Boots store for £15.50.

Hope this was helpful :)
